Rio Olympics 2016 - Closing Ceremony, Next Olympics 2020 Tokyo

At Rio, 16 days of Rio Olympics 2016 are completed as it started on 5th August 2016 and Closing ceremony held on 21st August 2016. As a tradition of opening and closing ceremony at Olympics, Brazil shows its spectacular culture to whole world.

Brazil is always been famous for its Carnival and at Olympics also Carnival activities were centre of attraction. Closing Ceremony was held at Maracana Stadium Rio de janeiro .

Tokyo is a next place for Olympics in 2020 so as per tradition protocol, Japan also had show its cultural presentation. Japan`s prime minister Shinzo Abe portrayed the famous Game character of Japan, Super Mario.

At closing Ceremony Olympic Flag is passed to the future host country so Mayor of Rio Eduardo Paes passed the flag to Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike. Olympic is incomplete without the Eye-catching Fireworks. So Maracana Stadium was looking glorious by firworks.

As far as Medals are concerned for games, USA is on first rank from last 31 years and this time also legacy was continued by winning 121 Medals .Second position was secured by Great Britain by Winning 67 Medals and China Stood 3rd by winning 70 medals.

Tokyo 2020 Olympics would be the XXXII Olympiad event.

Bruno Mossa de Rezende (born 2 July 1986) is a  volleyball player, a member of Brazil men's national volleyball team and Brazilian club SESI São Paulo, double silver medalist of the Olympic Games (Beijing 2008, London 2012), 2010 World Champion, double gold medalist of the World Grand Champions Cup (2009, 2013), South American Champion (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013), multimedalist of the World League, Pan American Games, Brazilian Champion (2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013), Italian Champion (2016).

Wallace de Souza (June 26, 1987) is a volleyball player, who competes for Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei and the national team. He won silver medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics and at the 2014 FIVB World League, where he was elected the best opposite spiker of the tournament. In 2015, he had a surgery on his back that put him out of the national team for the whole season.

Lucas Saatkamp (born 6 March 1986) is a  volleyball player, a member of Brazil men's national volleyball team and Brazilian club SESI São Paulo, winning a gold medal with Brazil at the 2010 World Championships, a participant and silver medalist of the Olympic Games London 2012, World Champion 2014 and multi-medalist of the World League.

Sérgio Dutra dos Santos, known as Serginho or Escadinha (born 15 October 1975), is a  professional volleyball player who plays in the libero position. In 2009 he became the first libero to be named MVP in the World League (an honor which is usually given to spikers or setters)

Luiz Felipe Marques Fonteles (born 19 June 1984) is a  volleyball player, a member of Brazilian national team and Brazilian club Funvic Taubaté, a silver medalist of the 2014 World Championship, South American Champion (2005, 2013), a gold medalist of the Pan American Games 2011.

Micah Makanamaikalani Christenson (born May 8, 1993) is a volleyball player, a member of the United States men's national volleyball team and Italian club Cucine Lube Civitanova, NORCECA Champion 2013, gold medalist of World League 2014and 2015 World Cup.

Aaron Russell (born June 4, 1993) is an North American volleyball player from Ellicott City, Maryland, who plays for the United States men's national volleyball team and Pennsylvania State University club, Since autumn 2015, he plays for the Italian clubSir Safety Perugia.

Taylor Sander (born 17 March 1992) is volleyball player, a member of United States men's national volleyball team and Italian club BluVolley Verona, gold medalist of the 2014 World League and 2015 World Cup.

India got first Silver at Rio Olympics 2016 by PV Sindhu.........Congratulation to PV sindhu !!

PV sindhu, this name is on each and everyone  mouth. she is the first Indian Women ever to get place in Finals of Women`s Badminton Single in gold medal match. And she finally won  and make her country proud. She won Silver medal and million of heart by winning it. This silver Medal is First silver for India in sport badminton and also in a Rio Olympics 2016. 

Silver Medal for Sindhu is a outcome of his 14 years of hard work. She started playing badminton at the age of 8. She has won bronze medal for twice at world championship. At finals of Rio Olympics 2016 she was against Spanish Carolina Marin who is 2 time world champion and currently ranked 1st in World.

First round at Finals was won by PV sindhu ,Second Marin changed her strategy and won 2nd round. In last round Pv sindhu gave tough competition to Carolina but Carolina with her attacking mode won . Finally she won the Gold medal and become the first europian Women to Win this title.

This is 2nd medal by Women at Rio Olympics for India.

First Medal for India at Rio Olympics 2016 by Sakshi Malik in Freestyle Wresting

First Dipa karmakar, and now sakshi malik from india has created history at Rio Olympics 2016 by becoming the First Indian Female Wrestler to win the medal at Olympics in Freestyle wrestling .She is also India`s fourth female athlete ever to win and Olympics  medal.

At the age of 12 she started her training of wrestling  and at age 23 she is having Olympic Medal, this achievement is  an  outcome of her 12 years of hard work. She is from small village Rohtak in Haryana so, she and her coach has to face many opposition from locals due to sport they were encouraging which is not for Women.

She has won bronze and silver medal  commonwealth champion ship at 2013 Johannesburg  and 2014 Glasgow. Apart from that she has won bronze medal at asian championship 60 kg category of women wrestler.

In may 2016 she was qualified at Rio Olympics in the category of 58 kg freestyle wrestling. She won Bronze medal at finals by beating Aisuluu Tynybekova.

Indian Badminton Player PV sindhu at Semi finals by defeating World No.2 player

India hasn’t got any medals till now at Rio Olympics 2016, but this might be not forever as P V sindhu  (Pusarla venkata sindhu)Badminton Player has secured her position at semifinals in women`s single. Sindhu is the second Indian to feat that achievement at summer Olympics after Saina Nehwal. Saina nehwal won bronze medal at London Olympics 2012 as she was defeated my Wang  yihan.

This time Sindhu has defeated tai tzu-ying of Taiwan and she has also defeated Wang yihan of China who is former World Champion and Olympic Medalist. Wang Yihan is currently ranking second in women`s single badminton.

Sindhu has won many medals at international badminton tournament and she is considered as a first ever Indian Women`s singles player to win medal at world championship.
At semifinals sindhu is going to compete with japanese badminton player Nozomi Okuhara who is winner of All England badminton championship.

Christian Taylor

Christian Taylor (born June 18, 1990) is track and field athlete who competes in the triple jump and has a personal record of 18.21 m , which ranks 2nd on the all-time list. He is the reigning Olympic champion and current World Champion. He followed his national title with a win in the triple jump at the 2011 World Championships, upsetting the field with the tenth best jump in history. He was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team and won the gold medal in the triple jump at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He placed fourth at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics, but regained his title at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics.

Will Claye 

Will Claye (born June 13, 1991) is  track and field athlete of Sierra Leonean descent who competes in the long jumpand triple jump. He won a bronze medal in 2011 World Championships in Athletics and the gold medal at the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships. In his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Claye won a bronze medal in long jump and a silver medal in triple jump. At the 2012 London Olympics Claye first won the bronze medal in long jump, then followed up by winning the silver medal in triple jump five days later. He is the first man to win medals in both the long and triple jumps at the same Olympics since Naoto Tajima of Japan at the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics.

Erik Kynard, Jr

Erik Kynard, Jr. (born February 3, 1991) is track and field athlete who competes in the high jump. In his Olympic debut at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as a 21-year-old, he won a silver medal in the men's high jump. At the 2012 United States Olympic Trials, Kynard made the Olympic team by placing second behind Jamie Nieto with a height of 2.28 m. At the Olympics, Kynard won silver behind Russian Ivan Ukhov with a height of 2.33 m, the first major international medal of his career. Ukhov won the competition with a height of 2.38 m.

Shannon Rowbury

Shannon Rowbury (born September 19, 1984) is middle-distance runner from San Francisco, California. She represented the United States at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She also represented the United States at the World Championships in 2009, 2011, and 2013 winning the bronze medal in the 1500 meters in 2009. On May 2, 2015 at the IAAF World Relays Rowbury was a member of the distance medley relay team that broke the world record. Pending ratification in December, Rowbury is the current American record holder in the 1500 meters, breaking Mary Slaney's 32-year record on July 17, 2015, with a time of 3:56.29

Jennifer Simpson  (born August 23, 1986) is  middle distance runner and steeplechaser. She represented the United States at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 1500 meters at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics and silver in the same event in 2013.

Lahiri attempted to qualify for the PGA Tour through the 2015 Web.com Tour Finals after earning enough non-member points to qualify. He was the highest-ranked player in the Finals, 40th at the start of the four-event tournament.
