There have been many reasons for the changing of World. Here are some of the basic Gadget(I said Gadgets because, at that time, these inventions were not less than latest tech like mobile and PCs)which revolutionized our lifestyle.
The Wheel :
In today’s world, technology is developing at an unprecedented rate. The latest gadget today is tomorrow’s antique.One of these is the wheel.The wheel has even been imbued with symbolic meanings, most famously, perhaps, as a metaphor for the never-ending cycle of life.
The Nail :

clavus of the Romans.Nails in one form or another have been a necessary and integral component of civilization for several thousand years. From ancient times to the present the nail has kept pace with the development and evolution of other familiar tools such as the plane, saw, square, chisel and, of course, the hammer. With technological advances in building construction and materials, the nail has taken on new forms, most recently as a fired fastener propelled by gunpowder or compressed air from a nail gun. But throughout all of this change, nails still remain generally recognizable as nails.
Light Bulb:
The story of the lightbulb really starts almost seventy years earlier. The first light bulb was invented by an English Scientist, Humphry Davy in early 1800s. He connected a battery with carbon which results glowing that piece. Later on, Thomas Edison upgrades it by replacing the carbon with a filament.
Compass:
The first compasses in ancient Han dynasty China were made of lodestone, a naturally magnetized ore of iron, The first person recorded to have used the compass as a navigational aid was Zheng He (1371-1435), from the Yunnan province in China, who made seven ocean voyages between 1405 and 1433. Later on, this device was used by Europeans and Arabic people for navigation.
The Printing Press:
Johannes Gutenberg is usually cited as the inventor of the printing press. Indeed, the German goldsmith's 15th-century contribution to the technology was revolutionary enabling the mass production of books and the rapid dissemination of knowledge throughout Europe. The Holy Book "
Bible" got the wider access over this invention.
Radio:
The radio has been the first device to allow for mass communication. It has enabled information to be transferred far and wide, not only nationally wide but internationally as well. The development of the radio began in 1893 with Nikolai Tesla's demonstration of wireless radio communication in St. Louis, Missouri. His work laid the foundation for those later scientists who worked to perfect the radio we now use. The man most associated with the advent of the radio is Guglielmo Marconi, who in 1986 was awarded the official patent for the radio by the British Government. Europe's most famous broadcasting station, the British Broadcasting Company or BBC, began following in 1922.
Television:
The television has become such an integral part of homes in the modern world that it is hard to imagine life without television. Not just for entertainment value, but TV is also a valuable resource for advertising and different kinds of programming. Paul Gottlieb Nipkow from Germany developed rotating disc technology known as Nipkow disc. In the year 1884, this young student patented electromagnetic TV system, employing scanning disk with various holes spiraling to center, for the purpose of rasterization.
Telephone:
On 7th March 1876, 29-year-old Alexander Graham Bell receives a patent for his revolutionary new invention–the telephone.With the help of Thomas A. Watson, a Boston machine shop employee, Bell developed a prototype. Later on, the Bell Company withstood repeated legal challenges to emerge as the massive American Telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) and form the foundation of the modern telecommunications industry.
Penicillin:
Returning from holiday on September 3, 1928, Fleming began to sort through Petri dishes containing colonies of Staphylococcus, bacteria that cause boils, sore throats, and abscesses. He noticed something unusual on one dish. It was dotted with colonies, save for one area where a blob of mold was growing. Fleming found that his "mold juice" was capable of killing a wide range of harmful bacteria, such as streptococcus, meningococcus, and the diphtheria bacillus. This was a major breakthrough in medical science.
Last but not the least, unlike technologies such as the light bulb or the telephone, the Internet has no single “inventor.” Instead, it has evolved over time. The Internet got its start in the United States more than 50 years ago as a government weapon in the Cold War. For years, scientists and researchers used it to communicate and share data with one another. Today, we use the Internet for almost everything, and for many people, it would be impossible to imagine life without it.
